Quick Photo Editing and Collage

It has been some time since I needed a quick photo edit.  I was an ardent fan of Picnik and truly mourned the Google decision to close it down.  At the time of the announcement there was not an online replacement with the simple and professional quality features as Picnik.  I looked intensely.

However, I hope many of you have discovered the amazing Ribbet while I have been in hibernation mode.  Ribbet is excellent and very similar in feel to the old Picnik (yay).  It is also free at the introductory level.  Of course, if you need to work on many photos then it would be better to get an upgrade or look at commercial software.  But for the quick few photos here and there it cannot be beat!

I only had one issue and that was when I was in the midst of a session and could not find a collage menu.  It is on the home page.  You must decide first that a collage is the end goal because once you get past the "home" screen, that collage option is not to be found again.  Anywho, otherwise... great job at the Ribbet factory gang!  Here is a screen shot of the home page showing the green button for collages.

And here is the collage photo I made today using Ribbet/collage.  I am going to focus on consistent backgrounds for future shots.  Ribbet has many other variants for collage arrangements.  Check it out!  www.ribbet.com
